TIGO Tanzania on Sunday announced a new offer whereby its customers will be able to make international calls at a half of price after the 120 seconds.
Speaking in Dar es Salaam over the weekend, Tigo Public Relations Executive Jackson Mmbando said that the offer that would run for seven days would involve four countries.
They are South Africa, United Kingdom, United State of America and United Arabs Emirates.
“Each country has to fix its own calling rates as costs differ but our aim is to make sure our customers make international calls at a half price,” he said.
Under the new offer, Mr Mmbando said that South Africa calls would cost 2.9/- per second, United Kingdom and United State would cost 2.58/- while United Arabs Emirates cost is pegged at 3.33/-. He added that the rates are tax exclusive.
He said the company plans to launch a new promotion this week. “We have launched a promotion that targets our customers by reducing costs for long distance calls”, he said.
