Mogadishu — At least two people have been confirmed dead in a roadside bomb that took place in the Somali capital Mogadishu on Saturday afternoon.
Officials of Somali government said that the expolsion was very heavy and could be heard in parts of the seaside capital.
The officials said they believe the two killed in the blast were trying plant besides the road.
Separately, Mogadishu battles and bombardments on Saturday left at least four dead and 14 injured.
The fighting and barrages came hours after government forces with the help of AMISOM troops approached Mogadishu’s biggest market of Bakaara.
