Salifu Abdallah, who shocked residents of the small farming community when he was caught red-handed having sex with a pregnant sheep about two weeks ago, has been ordered to marry the sheep.
The owner of the sheep, who Daily Guide gathered is called Rasheed, has reportedly issued a one-week ultimatum to the suspect to pay the animal’s dowry or risk paying GH¢1000 as compensation for his unthinkable behaviour.
Rasheed was said to have caught Salifu in the act in the pen located at the back of his house nearly two weeks ago and therefore raised an alarm.
People who rushed to the scene were said to have pleaded with Rasheed to forgive Salifu and not report him to the police or the chief’s police, a plea which he willingly accepted.
But on Thursday, a week after the atrocious act, Rasheed has changed his mind according to reports, and is demanding that Salifu pay the dowry and take the sheep as his lawful wife or he would compel him to part with GH¢1000 as compensation.
Rasheed is said to have given Salifu one week to comply, an order which Daily Guide learnt has devastated Salifu to the extent that he is believed to have escaped from the town as residents say he has not been seen since the ultimatum was issued.
