Liverpool are believed to be interested in making a move for Wigan Athletic winger Charles N’Zogbia.

The Reds are widely believed to have been on the lookout for a wide man, and were reportedly targeting Aston Villa’s Ashley Young.

However, it is thought that the former Watford man is determined to make a move to Manchester United rather than Anfield, with the Merseyside club now scouting out the ex-Newcastle United winger.

Now The News of the World reports that the Reds have sent scouts to watch the Frenchman in the last three games at the DW Stadium.

N’Zogbia has also been linked with a return to Newcastle, while Sunderland are also thought to be interested in acquiring his services.
