According to him, he suspects the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Agyemang Mensah, the Kumasi Metropolitan Chief Executive, Samuel Sarpong, and the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling party, Mr. Yaw Obimpeh, as being the brains behind the move, even though he has good working relationships with them.
According to him, he was once trailed by a black Mitsubishi pick-up when he closed from a radio programme at Boss FM, a Kumasi-based radio station, in the night.
He narrated that after the radio programme, when he was heading towards his Kokobeng residence along the Kumasi Obuasi road, the said Mitsubishi vehicle trailed him to his house.
He said: ‘When I entered the house and came back to close the gate, the said pick-up sped off,’ but he could not identify the occupants.
Mr. Yammin told The Chronicle that when he went public with the news, he received information from the Castle that he was being protected.
When contacted, aides to the Regional Minister and the KMA Boss, Messrs Ebenezer Opoku Aloke and Clement Kegari, on behalf of their bosses, denied that Yammin was being trailed.
‘Mr. Kewura, I am not aware of that, you are just telling me the story,’ Mr. Kegari told this reporter.
