Menongue — At least 28 Angolan citizens who have been living as refugees in Botswana, representing the first group in the current repatriation process, are scheduled to arrive this Friday in Angola’s south-eastern Kuando-Kubango Province.
This first group, most of whom are from Kuando-Kubango, will be welcomed in the province’s chief town, Menongue.
According to a document received by ANGOP, the returnees are scheduled to arrive at 11 a.m in Menongue, then taken to Kavikiviki shelter centre.
Afterwards, states the note, they will be received in an audience by the province’s governor, Eusébio de Brito Teixeira, as well as by the director of the department for welfare and social reintegration, Modesta Ngueve, and by members of the local executive.
