    A record 3,100 runners have registered for the third Hared Source of the Nile marathon that takes place in Jinja tomorrow.

    The marathon competition will be under the 10km and 21km categories and according to the chief patron of the event Yusuf Noordine, the runners will assemble at the starting point (Health Fast Gym) as early as 6 am where the 21km participants will be flagged off at 7 am.

    The 10km event, which is expected to have the majority runners, is scheduled to get underway at 7.25 am from Health Fast Gym. Runners will go via Nile Crescent, connect to Main Street, proceed down to Spire Road via Oboja Street, then join Engineer Ndikusooka Way and head back to Jinja Town through Nalufenya Road before sloping back to the starting point through Gabula Street.

    Over 40 corporate bodies have registered their individual teams in the event aimed at raising funds for Jinja Referral Hospital’s Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Unit.
