Manchester City midfield man Patrick Vieira has highlighted the mental strength of boss Roberto Mancini.
The Italian has endured speculation regarding his position at the helm this season, but guided the club to their first trophy in 35 years after wrapping up a spot in the top four.
Vieira joined City in January 2010, and while not featuring in his manager’s first team plans consistently, he has defended the former Inter boss and the job he has done since arriving at Eastlands.
Speaking to Key103, Vieira said: “Mancini is a really strong man. Even when people criticised him, he kept doing things his way.
“He has done an excellent job and has shown everyone how good he is as a manager.”
