Following the Supreme Court judgment on the Nigeria Urban and Regional Planning Decree 88 of 1992 promulgated by the Federal Military Government, which granted relief to Lagos state government on town planning matters, the Katsina State born professional and registered town planner, Kabir Yari who doubles as the President of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP) in this interview gave insight on regional planning development and administration. Kabir has extensive experience in urban infrastructure projects, participatory planning and urban governance.?He holds a Bachelor degree in Geography from the Bayero University, Kano and a Master’s degree in Urban and regional Planning from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
