Bilyaletdinov (right) will miss Everton’s next three games
Everton have failed in their appeal over midfielder Diniyar Bilyaletdinov’s red card during the 1-0 defeat at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
The Football Association’s disciplinary panel has upheld referee Anthony Taylor’s decision to dismiss the Russian for a tackle on James Morrison.
The verdict means Bilyaletdinov is out of Sunday’s match against Chelsea and the first two games of next season.
Everton’s appeal was dismissed despite a statement of support from Morrison.
Bilyaletdinov, 26, had been on the pitch for just five minutes when he was sent off in the 77th minute after his high challenge.
