BNI picks up Herbet Mensah over Ghc90m claims

Reports reaching Citifmonline.com indicates that, Mr. Herbert Mensah, a close ally to the former First Family, is in the grips of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI).

Our sources say he is currently being quizzed by BNI operatives, over his claim that President Mills intends to use a whopping Ghc90 million for his party’s presidential primaries.

Mr. Mensah said he had listened to a tape recording of conversation by some security persons at the Castle.

He was initially asked to report to the BNI’s Headquarters at Ridge, but when he arrived in the country from Sudan on Monday May 16, he was swiftly whisked away to another BNI facility, the regional office close to the 37 Military Hospital, for interrogation.

All his mobile phones and other communication equipment have been seized in the meantime.

This comes at a time when it has emerged from the so-called security tape, that the amount involved is Ghc 9m and not Ghc90 million.
