Just under half of Goal.com readers vote Lucas as Liverpool’s Player of the Season

As the campaign draws to a close Goal.com asked readers who has been Liverpool‘s stand out player this season.

Having looked at all the stats and figures, three names stood out and readers were asked to choose between Dirk Kuyt, Lucas Leiva and Luis Suarez as player of the season.

Having received the overwhelming majority of the votes, 48.69 per cent, Lucas was voted as the team’s best player this year after silencing his doubters.

There was little difference between the other two contenders with Kuyt receiving 27.47% of the vote after impressing hugely since Kenny Dalglish’s return to the club.

Meanwhile, 23.84% of the vote was given to Suarez, who has slotted seamlessly into the team since his January move from Ajax.
