Belet Hawo — Officials of Somali government in Gedo region of southern Somalia on Saturday said that they had seized members of Al shabaab movement.
Abdi Mohamoud Nur, Somali military officer in the region says the government troops detained at least five fighters in an operation in Garbaharey town, the regional capital of Gedo region.
Nur spelled out the apprehended men were among thirteen combatants of Al shabaab who were making exploration and observations over the areas Somali forces stay at.
He said 4 of them were taken to the border town of Belet Hawo for more investigations.
The government military officer eventually noted that they are committed to dislodging Al shabaab from Somalia completely.
