Huambo — The subjects “Agrarian Law” and “Agro-business” will deserve this year the attention of the Angolan Bar Association (OAA), said Saturday in Huambo City the OAA chairman, Inglês Pinto.
The official was speaking at the ceremony that served to hand over professional certificates to newly admitted lawyers and temporary licences to trainee lawyers.
He promised that the OAA will organise in central Huambo Province a conference on the referred themes, aimed at stimulating lawyers to work those areas.
“At the level of the Bar we have taken the chance, so this year we’ll hold a conference with some international specialists in the domain of Agrarian Law and Agro-business” he explained.
He also revealed that the event will take place in Huambo having into account the province’s agricultural potential, as well as in teaching and research in this area.
He further said that one of the challenges of the OAA is to see the inclusion of the subject of Agrarian Law in the higher education curriculum.
“Several issues in the agricultural domain have to be studied in a systematic way in the law field (…)” he assured.
