BBA Update: Confidence Survives First Eviction

One of Ghana’s representatives in the Big Brother (6) Amplified, Confidence who was nominated with five other housemates has successfully survived first eviction with 18% votes as Africa’s third favorite, after Weza (24%) and Vina (20%). Confidence, whose nomination for eviction changed her whole attitude in the house, can now have a breath of fresh air, having tasted eviction survived.

Confidence spotted in a sexy blue shot straight dress, went back to the “Heads” house with Vina, Weza and Vimbai. But her joy will be short cut as she faces another nomination section on Monday morning May 16, 2011. Jossy from Namibia who had the least votes (9%) among the six has packed his bags and baggage back to Namibia as the first evictee from the Big Brother Amplified house. Danny from South Africa who had the second least votes (11%) was not evicted but rather sent to the “Tails” house to his surprise.

The second live Sunday eviction show, started today at exactly 17hours (GMT) on Channel 198 on DSTV across Africa with very energetic performance by Vee and Scar from Botswana, the audience streamed as their dancers groove to the beats.

Host IK introduced himself and started with a recap of the week’s activities in both the “Heads” and “Tails” house. The week started on Monday with the first nomination, when Confidence’s reaction to her nomination took Africa by storm. The week’s task for both Heads and Tails was to take photos for a Big Brother Amplified Calendar and behind the scenes video shoot. In the “Heads” house where Confidence popped out her breast as part of the photo shoot wagered 50% and won their wager.

The “Tails” wagered 100% and lost their wager, which made Alex from Ghana angry and blamed Nkule from South Africa for their lost. Weza is the new Head of House (HoH) at the “Heads” house whiles Miss P is the new HoH at the “Tails” house. It was time for the outgoing Head of House (HoH) Zeus from Botswana to disclose to this fellow housemate who he swapped himself with as HoH and why.

Zeus revealed that he replaced himself with Vimbai from Zimbabwe and explained that he had nothing personal against her but it was all part of the game. Vimbai who was obviously surprised when she heard the news and things even got worse when Big Brother shouted that she (Vimbai) had 30 seconds to pack her bag. She was seen crying uncontrollably as she runs upstairs to the bedroom to get her stuff.

The six housemates nominated for eviction: Confidence from Ghana, Weza from Angola, Vimbai from Zimbabwe, Vina from Nigeria, Danny from Ethiopia and Jossy from Namibia were called on stage.
