Cabinda — A workshop on the retrieval of civic and cultural values is going to be held on Friday in the northern Cabinda province, regarding the contribution of chieftains, NGOs and associations.
Events of this kind have already taken place in the provinces of Luanda, Bengo, Bié, Kwanza Norte, Huíla, Moxico and Uíge.
The workshop is being promoted nationwide by the Citizenship and Civil Society Office of the Central Committee of the ruling MPLA party, as result of the guidelines of the President of the party, José Eduardo dos Santos.
The event is aimed at gathering the main actors so as to discuss, reflect and exchange information and ideas on the current situation of civic, moral and cultural values within the Angolan society.
The meeting also aims at analysing the role and contribution of the chieftains, NGOs and associations in the civic education process, needed to build up a good, participatory and harmonious society, as well as identifying social stakeholders in the implementation of
programme for the retrieval of civic and moral values.
Works of the this workshop are being led by a delegation of the Citizenship and Civil Society Office of the Central Committee of the ruling MPLA party, which is chaired by its director, Fátima Viegas.
