Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is due at the French Cup final in Paris on Saturday night to run the rule over highly rated Paris Saint-Germain defender Mamadou Sakho, Goal.com can reveal.
The powerful 21-year-old has been recommended to Redknapp by Spurs defender William Gallas and the White Hart Lane club are considering challenging Premier League rivals Arsenal and Liverpool for his signature.
PSG take on Lille at the Stade de France in Paris – and Redknapp will also be keeping a close eye on Lille stars Eden Hazard, Rio Mavuba and Gervinho.

Sakho, who is already a France international, would cost at least £15 million as PSG are desperate to keep him at the club.
But the Paris-born defender is known to be eager to play in the Premier League and could try to force a move if the French club miss out on qualification for the Champions League.
Spurs are in the market for a new central defender as Redknapp has grown tired of the constant injury problems that have plagued Ledley King and Jonathan Woodgate.
Woodgate will leave the Londoners at the end of the season as he is out of contract while Cameroon international Sebastien Bassong will be sold if Spurs receive an offer in excess of £6m.
Chairman Daniel Levy has told Redknapp he needs to “streamline” his squad in the summer after missing out on qualification for the Champions League.
The likes of Alan Hutton, Jermaine Jenas, Jamie O’Hara, Niko Kranjcar, David Bentley and Robbie Keane are all being actively offered to other clubs as Spurs look to reduce their wage bill and free up places in the squad.
