Schalke 04 coach Ralf Rangnick is hoping to have his Ghanaian midfielder Anthony Annan fit after he missed training on Wednesday because of a toe injury.
The 24-year-old watched Schalke’s final home match of the season from the stands last weekend due to the injury.
Schalke visit Cologne this weekend and Annan remains a doubt.
“Anthony Annan is still sidelined with a foot injury. He banged his little toe and the pain prevented him from putting his boot on,” Rangnick said.
Annan has been influential in midfield at the Veltins Arena since he joined the club in January.
