The Seychelles Investment Board (SIB) says the cable car project for Morne Seychellois National Park is no longer available. SIB is already working with an investor for a similar project elsewhere.
SIB has obtained the interest of one company for the project and currently more indepth study is being undertaken to determine its feasibility. Parallel to this, an environmental impact assessment of the project is underway to determine if the project is viable. The government of Seychelles says the developer must ensure that minimum impact on the environment is guaranteed in the planning and implementation stages of the project.
