Gyan and Welbeck are both set to miss the remainder of the season with hamstring injuries suffered in the 4-2 win against Wigan on Saturday. Sunderland manager Steve Bruce has revealed that strikers Asamoah Gyan and Danny Welbeck are likely to miss the rest of the season through injury.

STAFF OF MTN have held a clean up exercise at the La Tawala Beach as part volunteer activities to serve their communities.

The exercise forms part of MTN’s yearly activities undertaken by its staff across all 21 operating countries during the ’21 Days of Y’ello Care’ scheduled from June 1-21each year.

Robert Kuzoe, Executive Secretary, MTN Ghana Foundation said the event affords the staff of MTN the opportunity to undertake developmental projects in the communities in which they are located.

He said this year’s activities are meant to highlight MTN’s campaign for 2011 which is ‘International Year of the Forest.’

‘For this purpose we have lined up a number of carefully selected projects and activities which include tree planting and preserving the ecosystem and water conservation.’

The La Mantse, Nii Tettey Kpobi Tsuru III who was at the exercise to lend his support said the initiative of MTN will be sustained ‘so that our beach stretching from the fisheries to the ‘Kponkpa’ will be kept neat.’

He further stated that he together with his elders will intensify their educational programmes in the community so that members will maintain the hygienic nature of the beach.
