The mothers of some Black Stars players including Ghana’s number one goal keeper Richard “Olele” Kingson, Isaac Vorsah, Eric Bekoe, Jonathan Mensah as well as the wife of Charles Taylor were the side of attraction at the Annual Asempa FM’s Mothers Day celebrations dubbed “Maame Ayekoo, 2011”.
This year’s “Maame Ayekoo, 2011” which is the 3rd edition attracted over eight hundred (800) persons mostly mothers, while winners of a promotion ran on Asempa Fm prior to the day competed in a cooking contest.
In all, Seven (7) persons won various prizes in the cooking and story-telling competitions.
Madam Tina Odoi won the ultimate prize in the cooking contest, winning seven (7) cartons of Indomie noodles, rice cooker, T-shirts, a certificate and other souvenirs.
The second prize went to Madam Rosemond Appiah of Amasaman, who also won five (5) cartons of Indomie noodles, rice cooker, T- shirts, books and other souvenirs.
The third prize in the cooking competition containing three cartons of Indomie noodles, rice cooker and other souvenirs with certificate of participation went to Madam Margaret Tei.
