Superstar Whitney Houston has enrolled in an out-patient rehabilitation programme to seek treatment for substance abuse.
The singer/actress, 47, has long battled addiction issues and Tmz.com reports she checked into a California clinic to seek help from professionals around 10 days ago.
Her representative has now confirmed the news to People.com.
In a statement, her spokesperson says, “Whitney Houston is currently in an out-patient rehab programme for drug and alcohol treatment.
“Whitney voluntarily entered the program to support her long-standing recovery process.”
