Only Way Is Essex: Maria Fowler hits Mayfair with suspender outfit

It might not be your ordinary get-up for a night out with your mum – but then there is nothing ordinary about the cast of The Only Way Is Essex.

Maria Fowler took a little bit of Essex style to Mayfair last night – dressed in a low cut top, shorts and platform shoes.

That might not sound anything usual but it was the statement tights which made her stand out from the crowd.

The black tights were shaped as though she was wearing suspenders – and were clearly visible below her shorts.

Her outfit caused a flurry of messages to her Twitter page asking where she had bought them.

The singer was out in Mayfair with her mum and tweeted that she was ‘off to get drunk’.

Later she added: ‘Touring the gay bars is prob not the best place to find a new man but at least they love my hair pah’ (sic)

Last week reports suggested that ITV2 bosses were reportedly planning to drop many cast members of The Only Way Is Essex.

The final episode of series 2 ended last week and as producers plan the third run, insiders claimed they had decided to “trim the fat” and keep only the most famous stars.

It was also reported that Amy Childs wouldn’t be returning either as she was lined up to have her own show.

An insider told The Mirror: ‘It’s the biggest shake-up to date. ‘TOWIE’ will revert to its basic formula, focusing on the main characters in the first series.

‘When filming wrapped on Saturday, it was very emotional as it would be the last time they would all be together like this.’

It is expected that along with Maria, Chloe Sims, Lucy Mecklenburg and Harry Derbidge would face to axe.

The source added: ‘Mark is the biggest draw. Viewers have been glued to their screens watching the heartthrob play out his turbulent love affair with Lauren and that’s what they want to see. This season there have been a lot of extras thrown into the mix, who detract from the actual drama.’
