Scooby-Doo’s Mystery Machine, Herbie and Indiana Jones’ truck up for grabs as Hollywood cars are auctioned off to fans

Dailymail.co.uk :    With some covered in dents and rust, others barely roadworthy or driven at break-neck speed in perilous conditions, these vehicles might not sell in a normal auction.

But they are no ordinary cars – for while they might not have made it onto the credits, these vehicles had starring roles in Hollywood movies.

Now fans can own a piece of transport history, with an auction of dozens of vehicles made famous by their roles on the big screen.

The prop cars up for sale include Scooby-Doo’s Mystery Machine, sold off by Hanna Barberra Studios, makers of the 2002 film starring Freddie Prince Junior and Sarah Michelle Gellar.

The Herbie from the 2005 movie Herbie: Fully Loaded is also for sale. The white VW original Beetle was driven by Lindsay Lohan in the film.
