The young powerful midfielder could have been one of the success stories of Arsenal’s season.
Frimpong, 19, started all six of the first team’s pre-season fixtures, linking up with fellow academy graduate Jack Wilshere, and was tipped for great things by Arsène Wenger.
He told Arsenal TV Online:”I was worried I’d be left behind”
Frimpong has commenced full training with his team-mates and has played in the Dallas Cup tournament with the Arsenal reserves.
