Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale was stretchered off with his knee in a brace during his side’s match against Blackpool following a challenge by Charlie Adam.
The Welsh winger was trying to force his way past Adam and Neil Eardley, when the former trod on his ankle, forcing Spurs to bring on Peter Crouch instead.
The club will be waiting on news of the midfielder’s injury as they chase a Premier League top four place.
And it was Adam who scored from the spot to give Blackpool the lead soon after, despite perhaps being fortunate to still be on the pitch.
