Norwegian giants Rosenborg have made several complaints to Schalke over the unpaid transfer fee but the Bundesliga side have been unyielding.
Annan joined Schalke in January at the cost of €2.8m and Rosenborg are unhappy that the Germans say they have no money.
“No, we did not get the money,” Trondheim’s sports director Erik Hoftun said after the deadline of February for the payment has long elapsed.
“Their reason is that they have no money.
“Now that things have gone well for Schalke in the Champions League, I expect that the money will come soon. “
