For the second consecutive time, Ghana’s hard working player, Andre Ayew has been voted Olympique Marseille player of the month.
The 21-year-old, who won it in March, this time recorded an overwhelmingly 61% of the total votes cast by fans of the club, which saw him beating team-mates Steve Mandanda and Benoit Cheyrou.
Ayew scored a stunning hat-trick against Nice last week, and has been highly instrumental for Marseille in their quest to retain their Ligue One title.
He said: “This is the second time in a row; it shows that I work and I’m progressing, but I must continue these efforts.
“It’s nice to have this award but it is primarily the group that ensures that I can make good games”, he said.
Ayew, son of Ghana’s football legend Abedi Pele is dominant on the wish-list of many European clubs.
