Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen has reportedly been given the green light to make a return in the game against Stoke City on Sunday.
The 25-year-old picked up an Achilles injury whilst on international duty with Belgium last year, and has not been able to feature for the Gunners since August.
But now the Daily Mail reports that the former Ajax man will be allowed to make his comeback when Arsene Wenger’s men play the Potters at the Britannia Stadium.
Vermaelen recently came through 90 minutes for Arsenal reserves in a game against Manchester United.
Arsenal are nearly out of the title race mathematically, as they are six points behind league leaders United with three games to go.
Vermaelen is rated by the Castrol EDGE Rankings as the 1717th best player currently plying his trade in one of the top five leagues in Europe.
