He was speaking at the official launch of the Nana Konadu’s campaign to challenge President Mills for the flagbearership slot to lead the NDC in the 2012 general elections.
The first to speak was the NDC MP for Lower Manya Krobo, Hon Teye Nyaunu.
Below is the highlights of his speech
* Our leadership (Mills’ administration) are governing as if there is nothing at stake. As if there is nothing absolutely at stake
*The Mills’ administration refused to do due diligence in investigation cases of corruption that occurred under the erstwhile Kufuor-led NPP administration with a lot of criminals left off the hook.
*It is shocking that the NDC has lost all cases in court under the learned Prof. Mills
*Gov’t refused to tell Ghanaians the stock of debt left by the NPP after they exited office
*If today, we say ex-president Kufuor left a high debt, that’s why things are hard, who will believe us?
*Govt accommodated NPP MMDCEs as if there were no technocrats available to take over from the NPP
*The consequences of that action was that the NPP DCEs were able to hide all traces of corruption
*NDC the driver of the Yutong bus which is in good condition is veering off the road – What do we do?
*Those who are awake should draw the attention of the driver to the danger ahead
*We are calling for real change…the Bus is good
*We’re behaving as if this is the last time we have come to power
*we believe Nana Konadu provides inspiration leadership
*It’s about time Ghanaians had a cheerleader
*Women are unique
