Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson remains confident that his side will come through their upcoming tests against Schalke and Chelsea unscathed.

The Red Devils have a 2-0 lead from the first leg of the semi-finals of the Champions League over the German side, and face them in the reverse fixture at Old Trafford on Wednesday.

And after their Champions League fixture United have a potentially title deciding game against Chelsea, who are three points behind but level on goal difference.

“They’re two massive games. We’ll be all right,” said the United boss, according to The Sun.

“We’re in as good a position as we could ever have wished for from the start of the season.

“We’ll regroup and get them freshened up. I’ll make some changes, without question, on Wednesday.

“We’ll bring Paul Scholes back in. Dimitar Berbatov, Michael Owen, fresh players.”
