South Africa’s annual travel and tourism tradeshow, INDABA, which has attracted major players in Kenya’s tourism sector will open on Friday.Local hoteliers, game lodges, national reserves, tour operators and travel agents have signed up to take part in the expo in efforts to market the country’s tourism products.

Among the exhibitors will be Kenya Tourism Board through its brand campaign, Magical Kenya, which has lined up a range of events during the exhibition. “We are grateful to Kenya for the interest the country has shown in INDABA over the years. The number of Kenyan exhibitors at INDABA has been increasing and this goes to cement a growing partnership between Kenya and South Africa and Kenya Tourism Boards and South African Tourism,” said Thandiwe January-McLean, Chief Executive Officer of South African Tourism. The expo will take place between May 6 and 11 in Durban under the theme ‘playing globally, winning locally’.
