Super Eagles coach, Samson Siasia, will meet with his players to fashion how they could best support the family of Olubayo Adefemi, who was the bread winner of his family before his tragic death in Greece.

The 25-year-old international defender died in a crash in Greece after he lost control of the car he was driving.

“As a team we cannot force any of the players to do something special for the late Olubayo Adefemi or to promise anything on their behalf, but we can advise to that effect. What we will suggest and advise the players to do, is to support the family of Adefemi in a way that it would have a long, lasting and positive effect on Olubayo’s family,” said Siasia.

The Eagles handler would therefore canvass for a sustained support for the Adefemis.

“The only problem is that the various support won’t go anywhere, I mean it may not even be enough for the family. The question now is how do we support the family for another couple of years?” Siaisa asked.

Siasia will be in Lagos Thursday morning early enough to attend the lying in state of the late Eagles right back, which is slated for 12 noon at the mainbowl of the National Stadium.

He will be accompanied by former coaches of the late defender, Emmanuel Orkaa and Monday Odigie, as well as Eagles goalkeeper trainer Ike Shorunmu, to give final respect to the fallen football star.
