Johannesburg, — ALL is set for tomorrow’s launch of season six of Africa’s biggest reality show, Big Brother Africa Amplified version with Zambia fielding in a female radio DJ Mumba as its envoy.

The 24 year-old Zambian and other 13 competing envoys have been revealed by Big Brother though still with his usual antics of the game- suspense and surprise.

Biggie chose to remain mute on any further details of the housemates until tomorrow 19:00 when the show will officially be launched live on DStv’s Channel 198.

The 14 house mates are secluded from the public and each other and will only meet for the first time tomorrow as they kick-start the above 18-year-rated 24/7 running show.

Interestingly, this year’s show looks to be more of a women’s battle as evident by a seemingly larger number of divas in the house than men.

Critics say the US$ 200,000 show might not be as interesting and captivating as the previous one (BBA All Stars) because of the numerical imbalance between the five men against nine ladies but this might just be another Big Brother interesting twist to the show!

Whatever the case, the guys had an equal opportunity of enrolment as the ladies and Big Brother knows best what he wants to make a pleasant meaning of the 91 non – stop days of viewing.

This time, Angola is bringing in Weza, Botswana will bank on Zeus. Malawi brings in Lomwe while Mozambique has Herminio, Ghana has Confidence, and last season’s winners Nigeria takes in Vina.

Host South Africa has an actor Luclay, while Tanzania feels Bhoke will do it for them as Kenya settles for Millicent. Uganda this time around floats in musician Sharon, Ethiopia has Hanni while Namibia take in Jossy.

Last seasons favourites Zimbabwe has Vimbai.

What are Mumba’s chances in this game? To be honest, the Zambian diva is up for a tough uphill battle against other eight fine looking female contenders and not over ruling the five guys in the house.

It has been heavily debated that good looks and brains are vital tools to winning this life-changing competition as they would allure especially enthusiasts of the opposite sex.

With the poor record Zambia has been recording in the past four episodes save for the very first continental episode, one wonders what magic this 24 year old would do to turn the tables around.

Has she got the looks, the brains to pull through to the last?

Talking of the host South Africa, they rather seem to be in the stumpy mood about the show. The hosts’ expectations are clearly low maybe because they have never taken the home ground advantage ever since the show started.

Anyway, suspense, drama, intrigue, emotions, laugher and shocking surprises are the nature of this Africa’s arguably most watched reality show.
