Mogadishu — Somalia’s moderate Sufi group of Ahlu Sunna Waljama ASWJ on Monday proclaimed it had readied the candidness who will take part the presidential elections in August this year.
In an exclusive interview with Shabelle Media Network, Ahlu Sunna’s chairman of consultation, Sheikh Omar Sheikh Abdulkadir Adam said his group is very appreciated and satisfied with holding both the presidential and parliamentary elections inside the country.
Adam indicated that the moderate Sufi group is ready to run off the elections to succeed leading war-decimated Somalia.
He said if they managed to come to the office they will do more reforms including improving the security situation the country is in.
He noted that Somali government has largely failed to assure the security and bring peace back to Somalia after 20 years of civil war.
