The ongoing drug trial involving the state against Rudy Rasoel Hamid Ghazi and eight others, on Wednesday failed to proceed at the instance of prosecution at the Banjul Magistrates Court, presided over by the acting Principal Magistrate Taiwo Ade Alagbe.

When the case was called, Mam N. Jobe announced her representation for the state and applied for an adjournment on the grounds that the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) was engaged in other matters and could not come to the court.

The defence counsel for the accused persons, Lamin Camara made no objection to the application made by the prosecution, and the case was subsequently adjourned.
