She confessed she was drawn to ‘powerful and passionate’ figures, but said she was as astonished as anyone by the romance. She was enjoying it, she added.
In an interview yesterday, she also spoke about her previous relationship with Sven-Goran Eriksson, saying the former England football manager had been ‘difficult company’ and ‘very misogynistic’.
Of Sir Trevor, she said: ‘I am always drawn to men who are passionate.
I loved his production of Hamlet. I love something that is done perfectly, whether it is in sport, or the theatre, in whatever field.’
