Luanda — The vice-chairperson of the Angolan Basketball Federation (FAB), Jean Jacques da Conceição, urged supporters of the sport to be more united in favour of the national team its new coach, Michel Gomez, in view of maintaining its invincibility in the continent and regular presence in the Olympic games.
Jean Jacques, who was speaking during the presentation ceremony of the new coach, on Friday, added that there is a need for the nation to be cohesive and strong to assist its representatives to overcome battles, since the federation cannot overcome everything by itself.
Michel Gomez, 59, signed a deal expected to end in September and which can be renewed.
Michel Gomez will work with the Angolans Jaime Covilhão and Artur Barros.
