The Saturdays’ Mollie King visits Ikea to stock up on household essentials

Most people would avoid going to Ikea on a Saturday like the plague.

But Mollie King is clearly made of stronger stuff as she braved the crowds and headed off to the home furnishings store yesterday.

The Saturdays singer was snapped pushing a trolley round the north west London branch of the Swedish store near Wembley.

Accompanied by a friend, she picked up glasses, tea lights, tea towels and other household essentials.

And she was dressed for the warm spring weather in a cute denim playsuit and brown wedged heels.

It is believed that she was buying furnishings for her new flat, having split from long-term boyfriend Andy Brown in February.

Not that she was left lonely for too long, having started a new romance with male model David Gandy.

The couple are believed to have met each other at a showbiz event in March and last Wednesday, the new couple stepped out together for their first public date.

They were snapped, arms around each other, at the Ralph Lauren gala dinner at the Arts Decoratifs museum in Paris as part of the L’art de l’Automobile exhibition of the designer’s collection of historical sports cars.

And according to The Sun, Mollie, 23, and David, 31, are getting on famously.

Speaking to the paper, a source said: ‘It’s early days but so far, so good. They’re having a really good time together.

‘David’s a few years older than Mollie but you can’t tell. He’s a few inches taller, too.’
