Chelsea striker Didier Drogba will not seek a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer, according to his agent, Thierno Seydi.

The Ivorian’s future had been brought into question following the arrival of Fernando Torres in January, but the 33-year-old has returned to the starting line-up in recent matches.

Seydi, who met chief executive Ron Gourlay to discuss whether the player has a future at the west London club next season, was quoted as saying by Sky Sports: “A lot was said over a possible departure of Didier Drogba.

“That is not the order of the day. He stays at this club, which he knows very well.”

Drogba has scored 11 goals so far this campaign, and looks set to start up front with Torres in Saturday’s match against Tottenham.
