Oyo State govenor-elect,  Senator Abiola Ajimobi, on Thursday, promised  to transform the state, just as he said that he would examine the activities of the outgoing administration of Adebayo Alao-Akala with a view to determining how to move forward.

The governor-elect while answering questions from journalists at his Oluyole Estate residence, Ibadan, said that he would need to know the terrain before moving forward.

“If you are joining an establishment and I see Oyo State as one, you need to have facts about the organisation. You need to know where you are coming from before you can be sure of where you are going.

“Naturally, we need to examine what is on ground immediately we assume office in order to know how to fashion our way forward, I don’t like the word probe, but if you call it so, then, so be it”, he added.

Senator Ajimobi, who promised a government of transparency, assured the people of the state that he would not disappoint them, stressing that he knew the sacrifice the people made for his emergence.

He declared that his administration would transform, reform and reposition the state to make it the envy of all.

Ajimobi further told newsmen that he bore no grudge against anybody and extended the hand of fellowship to his co-contestants, saying, ”God is the owner of everything, including power and I believe that none of my co-contestants, especially both Adebayo Alao-Akala and Rashidi Ladoja, would be an hindrance on the way of the government since both of them had at different periods governed the state.”
