Manchester City youngster John Guidetti has turned down a new contract extension at the Premier League club and now looks set to leave at the end of the season for nothing.
The Citizens gave the youngster the chance to his extend his current contract but the Swedish striker is hoping to secure a move to Spain instead.
Guidetti signed from IF Brommapojkarna in 2008 and has been on load at Burnley this season, scoring once in five appearances.
The 19-year-old told Sportbladet: “It’s a good contract but simply not good enough,”
“There are better alternatives. My contract expires this summer and then it’s time to move.
“It’s a perfect situation. I am a striker who should play in one of the best leagues.”
The teenager made his one and only first-team appearance last September for City against West Brom, where he grabbed an assist, but has yet to play in any more games.
