Carlo Ancelotti believes Chelsea must keep on winning if they are to have a chance of retaining the Premier League title and ignore other games that are going on.

The Blues host Tottenham on Saturday and if they win they will close the gap on leaders Manchester United to three points as the Red Devils visit Arsenal on Sunday.

Ancelotti told reporters: “I’m sure that Arsenal will do their job, we have to do our job. Our job is to win against Tottenham. It will not be easy because Tottenham is a very good team, very strong, but I think that we want to keep open the Premier League until the last minute, so we have a possibility to do this.

“Obviously we have to beat Man United, we have to beat Tottenham, but our aim is this. Maybe Man United can win the title but we have to fight until the last minute of this Premier League.

“We have to play our game there but before, obviously, focus on Tottenham game.”

The Chelsea boss has denied that United will be affected by their extra exploits in the Champions League and also praised their performance in the first leg where they were comfortable victors.

He added: “I think that Man United had a very good result in the first game, the first leg of the semi-final, they will have easy game I think in the second leg but they have to play the semi-final of the Champions League. It’s always a semi-final so I don’t think that we can have advantage from this.”
