Managing Director Job Description:

To provide overall leadership, strategic direction and supervision of the operations of the Organisation

• Day-to-day administration and management of the Organisation
• Formulate policies and strategic plans for the Organisation
• Advise the Board on issues and submit proposals for the management of the Organisation
• Ensure the preparation and submission of relevant reports on the operations of the Organisation
• Ensure the establishment and strategic management of financial, administrative, engineering, production, marketing, editorial and Internal Audit systems and procedures and other organisational structures to achieve corporate effectiveness and efficiency
• Develop and maintain a culture that will foster co-operation, commitment, efficiency, accountability and productivity within the organisation
• Develop and implement systems and methods of effective monitoring and control of activities of the organisation
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Board from time to time

MD Job Requirements:

• A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Social Sciences or Arts, preferably, Mass Communications, Journalism, Business/Public Administration, Economics, Management or its equivalent professional qualification from a recognised Institution, with not less than twelve (12) years’ post qualification relevant work experience, five (5) of which must be in a senior management postion

3. Excellent leadership and decision making skills
4. Excellent administrative and supervisory skills
5. Good team player
6. Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
7. Proficiency in computer
8. Conversant with the Financial Administration Act, the Public Procurement National Media Commission Act
9. Excellent marketing orientation and good knowledge of Media Networks, particularly the print media
