Former Governor Segun Osoba of Ogun State on Wednesday assured the people of the state that he would not interfere with the administration of the governor-elect, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun.
Osoba’s assurance came just as Gen. Adetunji Olurin and Mr Gboyega Isiaka, the PDP and PPN governorship candidates respectively, in the state, conceded defeat to Amosun, claiming they lost gallantly.
“I can assure you that the governor (Amosun) will have the freedom to perform his functions within the party’s context. There will be no dictation from anybody. I have no intention of interfering or sitting on his neck.
“He will run his government in the way he deems fit and best for the people of Ogun,” Osoba told newsmen at the INEC premises in Abeokuta.
“Our people performed wonderfully well and I want to thank them for their patience and loyalty, and for showing love for the ACN and for our candidate, Amosun,” he said.
