Ashton runs in four England tries
Northampton Saints and England duo Chris Ashton and Tom Wood have been shortlisted for the Premiership Player of the Season award.
They are joined in the list by two South Africans – Saracens hooker Schalk Brits and Saints prop Brian Mujati.
Leicester Tigers number eight Thomas Waldron is also in contention.
Ashton, who won the award last year, and Wood were both key members of the victorious England side in this year’s Six Nations.
