Soyo — The president of Académica do Soyo, Manuel Sieta, Wednesday in Soyo, northern Zaire province, called on the future management of the Angola Football Federation (FAA) to be stricter and transparent in running programmes put forward to affiliates and clubs during the electoral campaign.
Speaking to journalists on the election set for June 16, Manuel Sieta said the changes are expected to bring about an inversion of the situation in the institutions and implementation of the programmes.
“I think that it is not the names of the people that count for the election, but the ideas contained in the papers the candidates are presenting and that must be implemented,” he said.
He warned against the risk of “good speeches” to attract votes, however followed by ignoring of the commitments taken.
