Freiburg’s £13m rated Papiss Demba Cisse offered to Premier League clubs – report

The Senegalese international has returned 20 goals in 27 matches in the Bundesliga, firing Robin Dutt’s team to 8th place, as the club look to improve on last year’s finish of 14th.

It has been reported in Bild that the Germans are already preparing to lose the African hitman, with a fee of £13.2 million being touted for his services.

General manager Dirk Dufner added that despite the temptation of a pay rise for Cisse, the final decision on a transfer will remain with Freiburg.

Dufner told Suedwestrundfunk: “You could not blame Cisse for leaving if there is a club that would hand him a much better salary. The final decision on a transfer will definitely be our decision.”

The former Metz player has been at Freiburg since December 2009, and has a contract with the club which runs until 2014, but has been linked with Arsenal and Fulham in recent months.
