Luanda — Angola’s coastal province of Kwanza Sul is leading the list of leprosy cases nationwide, said Tuesday the physician of National Programme for Combat Tuberculosis and Leprosy of Health Ministry’s Public Department.
Celestino Teixeira told Angop that after Kwanza Sul follows the eastern provinces of Moxico and Lunda Sul.
According to the official, the World Health Organisation (WHO) is aware that some 10 percent of children may have been infected, adding that in Angola the cases in children declined by less than 10 percent.
