Menongue — At least 288 people died of malaria outbreak in 2010 as a result of cumulative 56,906 cases recorded in Kuando Kubango, said the official of programme for combat against malaria. Ntima Mandawele disclosed the data while speaking on 25 April, the World Malaria Day.On the other hand, he admitted a significant drop in comparison to the previous year (2009), which witnessed 479 deaths in 66,797 cases.

Catete — Angolan Attorney General’s Office (PGR) has expressed concern about the creation of conditions to ensure a decent training of the future magistrates with a view to reinforce the Judicial Magistrate and Public Prosecutor’s Office Staff.

The information was released Monday by the Attorney General, João Maria de Sousa, at the inauguration of PGR facilities in Catete locality, northern Bengo province.

According to him, the country has only 263 magistrates at the level of Attorney General’s Office, adding that this represents a big deficit, taking into account the above number operates only in 64 districts of the 163 existing countrywide.

The week of legality will cover various activities with stress to the inauguration of National Criminal Investigation and Action Department in Luanda.

The central event of legality week will take place in southern Huíla province.

The inauguration ceremony gathered government officials, magistrates, religious and traditional authorities.
